It’s not just THE beep, it’s the four beeps telling you the food is ready and then the beep when you take it out and if you don’t take it out quick enough it beeps four times again…and again and again until you do take it out and of course it beeps every time you push a button. My old micro wave beeped just once, when the food was ready and if you opened the door quickly enough it wouldn’t even do that. R.I.P. old friend.
This is why I love cartoons…You point out things that I never have noticed…Happy Birthday Ziggy…you have 32 years to catch up to me…Keep doing what you do…. thanks grami gail
What I find most interesting is how many people personalize the characters within a comic so much that they address them directly with ideas and advice, rather than pointing their comments toward the cartoonist. ‘Scuse me, Zig. I gotta see how Santa and Cap’n Eddie are doing over at Non Sequitur.

Yes, there is. You can’t hear the beep if you’re inside. Step right in and check it out.

Oh, and there is a coded lock to keep unauthorized people from using it (the microwave).
