Well, the guy reading the note doesn’t care — he knew it would be boring and he wouldn’t have a good time anyway.

I don’t find it puzzling that the person who scheduled that meeting stopped by to call it off.

What IS puzzling is that people joined the group in the first place, when they already knew it wouldn’t help.

The guy reading the note, well, he was never really part of the group.

I bet they are either with Brandy Kyle getting “high quality watches of well-known brands,” or at the Canadian-Pharmacy getting 80% Off on Viagra or Cai1is! What’s to be optimistic about that?

Beviek – In England, to say a thing “isn’t half” some attribute, means it IS that.

So to say “She ain’t half gorgeous” mean’s she’s beautiful…. the opposite of when we say “It’s not half bad” to mean it’s good.

@Number 6 — I think oftentimes you think nobody appreciated your joke, when it’s really just that you used an expression that’s quite unfamiliar this side of the pond.

I get a lot but certainly not all of them, only because I happen to be addicted to cryptic crosswords, which have to be e-mailed or posted online for me by British friends. We have almost none here.
