Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for December 29, 1991
Transcript:
Luann: Well, Bernice, that's it. The holiday season is over. Bernice: Yeah, but in a couple of months, the stores will be putting up their Christmas stuff. Luann: Every year we go through months of Christmas build up-the store displays the tv specials, the lights on the houses, the shopping, the wrapping... Luann: Then, bam! In one short morning it's over. All the hype and hoopla, and for what? A couple of hours of opening presents. Bernice: Luann, Christmas isn't about shopping and tv specials and presents. Bernice: It's about love and charity and goodness. It's about thoughtfulness and caring... Bernice: It's about the everlasting joy and peace of simple faith. That's what Christmas is all about. Luann: Oh. Luann: Can it also be about returning a hideous present from your aunt? Bernice: absolutely.
