Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Ma, as ever, committed to the truth. Poor Rosemary, itâs not her fault sheâs so ugly, but she doesnât have to go outside.
Do we remember the old shibboleth that a pretty girl will surround herself with homely girls to serve as a foil? If this is the case here, Joy had to search high and low to find Rosemary for her foil.
Yeah, Burl and Ma pick up social skill pointers from each other just continually fueling their overall âHave a Nice Dayâ outlooks..BTW: The phrase âLetâs all get behind Dogsniffâ kinda had a wierd conotation; but the result was OK.
Todayâs comic reminds me of Jim Neighbors. While the cast of Best Little censoredhouse in Texas were doing promotion tours, Jim said that he got off the plane and some lady hollered, âHey Gomer! Youâre even uglier in person!â
Ma is no less considerate of the feelings of others than Burl or Joy. Usually Julie ties in many little details (like whatâs on TV) but that doesnât look like anything that either Ma or Joy would choose to watch (1 Adam 12 with a race car?)
FUN! I wondered whether Susan would do the musical notes etc. I still have not seen any comments from Dogsniff, but I slept late and I have lots of baking to do today. I mixed the dozen or so dry ingredients for breakfast bars last night and put the butter in the mixing bowl. Now I just have to chop a cup of walnuts and 3 organic gala apples. As soon as thatâs done baking I can bake 2 sheets of mini pizzas (that part is easy- just WW flour and flax seed, warm water with yeast and olive oil). This afternoon I get to fix all my topping (thaw a batch of the sauce I made last week and grate the cheeses, slice organic pepperoni and spiced mushrooms). Yes, I have a wild side, but I hide it well;-D
Something is different about the blouse, Style?? Joy doesnât have styleâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ Morning all yâall and welcome back , Leakey wherever you are !!!! Thanks Colonel, for the tribute to Susan âŠâŠ. NICE
Great tribute to Susan, Col. (love it). @Ray, I used to buy PJ when I was house-hunting and stayed at a hotel downtown and I liked it. The one near me makes a greasy mess and I no longer use white flour. Mine is Red Mill stone ground whole wheat mixed with some of their milled flax seed and I only found one place online to buy pepperoni with grass fed organic and no nitrates. I am gradually trying to switch to the spice mixture on sliced fresh mushrooms. I used both on the 8 servings I froze today. I donât know why you buy dough to make pizza, Susan- that is not the hardest part (I made my sauce last week that will last me about 6 months with a mix of salt free tomatoes and fresh brocolli and RAY, THAT is where I put about a cup of good red wine (no rum).
Red wine in tomato sauce is a great combination. Plus, itâs good for you. Youâll probably live to be a couple hundred. We grew a ton of tomatoes and broccoli this fall, and made lots of tomato soup and broccoli soup. I like a shake or two of Tabasco in my tomato/broccoli soup. Itâs the secret of my great prowess.
Susan, two of the problems I had putting the code in readable form in the comment box were that the angle brackets ( < and > ) in the code were a signal to the web site that it was getting code and not a text message. So if the angle brackets were not changed somehow the site would read the code and print out the actual images instead of the code for the images.
To correct this I had to replace the brackets with < ; and > ; which tells the web site to print the the text rather than to interpret it. This may or may not be part of the problem. (Note: Even now, to get this to read right I am having to put a space between the t and the ; , otherwise these will show up as brackets, when they are actually four keystrokes with no space.
The other change I had to make to the code in order for it all to be printed in the confined space of the comment box was to shorten the lines of code. Otherwise they ran out of the right side of the comment box and were, as far as I could tell, lost. To solve that problem I had to insert a <br> in almost every line of code to serve as a carriage return in order to get the whole line visible in the comment box. On some lines I had to insert two <br>s.For example say a line of code looked like this:<xxx><abcdefghijklmopqrstuvwxyz>
and assume that was so long that it needed to be shortened to keep it all in the comment box. In that case I had to convert it to this:
These were not difficult changes to make using the Find and Replace All function of the word processor. And Iâm not sure that they are what caused your problem.
My solution is that you simply go to the source code and copy it. This will work in IE, Firefox, and Chrome, which I use. Do the following:
1. Right click on The Dinette Set page for January 18th.2. Select View Page Source (View Source in IE.)3. Scroll pretty far down to line 824, the line number is easily visible on the left in Chrome or IE. (In Firefox: Before you scroll, click on the View tab and then click on âWrap long lines.â) In any event, since you know what you are looking for from seeing the code you already have, you should not have any trouble identifying the code you want â it will almost immediately follow the word âLegendary,â which is easy to spot.4. Then you can copy and paste it to your word processor or HTML editor and play with it however you wish.

The photo was probably taken when they were both 17.
Mikie my MOM used to say that kind of stuff!
"Donât pick pretty girls for friends, pick homely ones.
Then youâll be the one the fellows ask for a dance."
âYou donât have to like him to go on a date â he might have a friend youâll like better.â
âDonât act so smart. Men donât like smart girls.â
I rolled my eyes at her theories â and I was too dorky to get dates anyway, so we didnât have to argue them in practice.
MeanwhileâŠ.Good Morning Crustwood!

Speaking of being gone earlier todayâŠ.. oops, I mean yesterday âŠ
I seem to have missed a lot in a short time!
Dry â Yes, sniffle, they are very cruel to me around here. But Iâm bearing up.
Dazz â didnât know you had a wild side!
Ray, yeah, I do write âcosâ, something used by all my English friends and books as a kid overseas.
It was so handy I never succeeded in giving it up, even though I tried.
Dave, I canât find where you asked meâŠ. but you do look in hereâŠ.
I donât know whether it was a link or a mention.
When people are banished, their past and present comments are made invisible to other people but only in the forums.
Theyâre still visible to themselves everywhere, and to others on their profiles.
But without comments to click, you have to find the profile another way, so I was providing a link.
And Dogsniff got sprungâŠ. so it worked!
