more importantly, when I went back to copy those words, I found that your very kind and …um….interestingly illustrated post has disappeared!

So I checked your profile page, and all your latest comments are blank.

That’s just the opposite of the usual GoComics ban, as the comments do appear in the forums, but are wordless everywhere.

I’d love to know whether you’re doing it on purpose… cos if not it’s kinda scary!

Wow, a brilliant flash of lightening just lit up my yard and at almost that moment, loud thunder shook me in my chair.

We’re waaaay behind on rain… but it’s apparently trying to catch up in one storm.

It’s reassuring to know that all is well with the world. Everything is steady and consistent. The Pennys are still heartless and cruel, selfish and uncaring. It’s a sure thing that Joy picked that coin up in the parking lot, because she would never, ever give away something of hers.

As far as her sleeping problem is concerned, that’s nothing that a double fudge sundae won’t fix—and often does as yesterday’s strip shows!

Good Morning all! The least she can do with all that advice is give him enough for a good meal, not a penny. Prime rib at an “all you can eat” place; pretty good way to choke!

Exactly what I was thinking, Leaky. Just think of all the prime rib they’ll pack in thier guts before they finally roll out the door.

I’m sure Joy’s hollow gesture will fuel their appetites. Maybe they’ll even take an extra handfull of mints for him as they’re leaving in case he’s still there.

Yeah, I can see them telling the server cleaning the empty plates from their table that; “they gave his tip to the homeless guy and he should feel good about that”.

Looks to me like BURL…. thinks JOY…. is giving one coin…. too many…. ! ! !

Leaky regarding your question of yesterday: Yes, climbing the pyramids would make you very tired. They’ll give you an oxygen pillow to sleep with at night, and that would be very soothing.

Did you ever find Col. Crustwood’s comments? I have a friend who has been a “Genius” member for several years now. Whenever she makes a comment, SHE can go back and read that comment – but no one else can ever read them. I know, because I have looked high and low for her comments. She told me that she contacted Go Comics about being a paid “Genius” member but no one else was ever able to read any of her comments. They sent her an E Mail, promising to fix it all – but never did. VERY strange. She is a very gentle, quiet person – so I can not imagine that she ever said anything ribald or risque. In the meantime, of course, the beggar appears to have a “happy” shirt. Can anyone else read this comment – or am I talking to myself because I brought up stuff which happened to my friend?

Another busy day…. but I have to say…

I doubt the Colonel has been banned in that fashion.

For one thing, other people remain banned in the same way Dogsniff was exiled.

I can go to two profiles that I know of, and still read the last 10, but there’s no trace of them in the forums.

Also, when a person is blocked, so far, all previous posts go missing as well.

All the rest of the Col’s comments yesterday are still there. Only the illustrated one is gone, and I believe another from either Argyle Sweater or Non Seq, where he posted the avatar picture full size.

And that picture was rather disgusting, but why are people calling it obscene???

It was a half nude, grotesquely obese person, true — but someone who walks the streets somewhere, in what is obviously considered local dress, and isn’t arrested.

Even the picture posted here, which appeared to have a…um… a male organ in it, was actually of a man made religious object, with monks carrying it.

I don’t believe a person could be banned for either of those pictures — they’re the sort of thing you see in weird travelogues, not porn.

They could however be flagged, and deleted by gocomics in response,.. which is probably what happened.

And finally, I don’t think GoComics could have reprogrammed their whole comment-removing algorithm on a Sunday evening.

I’m thinking the Colonel may have gotten some sort of warning (or maybe not) and was purposely posting “silently”.

You can’t post an ’empty" comment, in my experience, without putting in a nbs (with & and ;, of course.)

Hopefully, he’s simply had other places to be today, and will be back.

He almost surely has Dogsniff’s e-mail, cos it was posted all over the place, and would probably let him know if anything is actually wrong.

I’m saying all this because as anybody who remembers me well from the old site knows, I HATE it when everybody gangs up in paranoid speculation!

BTW Dogsniff has my e-mail too, if anybody wants it. I did ask him to share it but I also don’t want that to be a burden to him, so please be patient.

Dazz has it too, if anybody already corresponds with her.

I’m just nervous about posting it — but she and Dog both did that and I haven’t heard that they blew up or anything.

In other news…. thanks Mikie…. and yeah, we had 4 and 1/2 inches of rain in well under 24 hours and about 6 and 1/2 sonce Thursday — but now it’s supposed to be a dry week.

Great bunch of comments and since Susan asked that I share it I will pass her address on to those who seem to require it. Mine is easy as it is my username and I subscribe through COX.@Leaky, I’m not all that crazy but like to remember my wilder days and I also was able to read the comment about the other nice lady (which I think I am ;-PGrog, I agree that the comradery/camaraderie here is what makes it fun and I sometimes skip comments I don’t like and everyone has a right to skip mine.

My youngest boy just posted a photo with his new GF and it had a very greenish cast and I commented to that effect (I think I could fix that even just with my Irfanview). He said I’m always too critical – what do you think?

@Leaky, banned for the name of my cable company?? I just did a quick edit (increased the red) on his photo and it made A HUGE difference. G-night all!
