    I’m …um…. I’m assuming …. though one can’t always assume….. that “Mr. Giggler” is the ventriloquist’s dummy in his lap.

    His date’s expression of dismay makes me think she’s worried that it might be something else.

    The figure’s thoughts make this cartoon work for me. Otherwise it’s just another cheap creepy-vent joke.

    @scaredkat, I wish that Susan read all the cartoons that I do. There are some where a great punster is really needed (“That is Priceless” is one new one that I find great fun).
