Transcript:
Customer: What's wrong with you? This isn't what I want! Customer: Do you know what you're doing? Can you get me a smarter clerk? Baldo: No, sir, I'm sorry. Customer: And why not? Baldo: The smarter clerk saw you coming and left.
Customers are not always right. He is one of them. Yes there is a line. If a customer crosses it, they need to be escorted out the door (by the police if needed).
One of my last retail store a customer was abusing an employee for a mistake that customer made. The manager (one of the greatest managers in retail history IMO) told the customer to leave. The customer turned to rant at him, in which he grabbed the phone and started dialing. The customer demanded to know who he was calling and the manager simply replied “The police”. The customer stormed out. All the other customers gave the manager an applause. Some times it takes losing a customer to gain 10 more.

Customers do not have the right to abuse employees, and employees do not have the right to insult customers. Simple as that.

Nice comeback, Baldo but it may land you out the door—and LOTS further away from your 1964 ragtop Impala lowrider.

NO ‘reason’ is always right. NO ONE should adhere to that unjust & idiotic ‘customer is always right’ motto.
