10 points for the mailbox, 4 points for covering a shoveler. 6 points for nailing a jogger. 150 points for filling a car with a open window. 10,000 points for covering a mime pretending that he in a imaginary box.

Problem is, it isn’t the “Verne’s snow plowing” guys who are taking out the mailboxes. For them it’s a ticket at the very least. In my state the private guys aren’t allowed to do anything on the roads or shoulders. It’s the county trucks that do the damage and get away with it.And they do plow the subdivisions, as long as it’s not a private road.

In my city, the ambulance routes get ploughed first, then the major streets, then the bus routes. The rest might get ploughed if there’s time; or they wait for spring to do the job for them. And the City doesn’t clean the sidewalks; they want the property owners to do that. Of course, since the City doesn’t clean most of its own sidewalks reliably, if at all, few others do either. that makes walking into quite the nightmare.

Wait’ll he hits that fire hydrant hidden under the snow! It’ll blast his truck up into the air and then freeze, making he & his truck the world’s tallest popsicle.
