On a regular date you go through a lot of hassle... trying to make small talk... trying to impress her... stress... anxiety... and afterward... awkward excuses about why she can't go ona a second date... but with speed dating it's just three minutes and boom... rejection. Woman: Awesome. Monty: Yeah. It's like taking off a Band-Aid. Ouch. Done.

@opentomeet – Nope. A couple months ago there was an arc where an escaped prisoner breaks into his house to steal clothes, and all Monty has is a bunch of the same outfit with the green plaid pants.

Monty may be a geek. He may be a nerd. He may be completly inept in the outside would. But he is still lovable and someday Mr. Meddick is going to realize it and give him a soulmate. And that will be the end of the strip and we will have to move on to others not quite as entertaining.
