RJ's tale of "war raccoon" Reaches climax.... one night, great grandpa lloyd was crossing no man's land and got snagged on barbed wire...both sides saw him hanging there, helpless... Rj:..the realized that one innocent life was worth more than their war...they called a truce and freed lloyd. verne: ...and embraced each other in peace? hammy: peace hug!! RJ: nope..they went back to their trenches and fought and died for three more years. verne: stupid humans. hammy: no hugs for you!

I have read statistics and stories of the horrors endured by horses during the Civil War. They were slaughtered by the thousands. Mules generally were too smart to go to the front. They mainly were used behind the lines, pulling wagonloads of supplies and wounded.

Humans invented politics, conspicuous consumerism, texting while you drive, and pet rocks. Why shouldn’t the rest of the animal kingdom (and a lot of the plant kingdom) look down on us?

Some orders should never be followed. Horses and dogs from past and present wars deserved better. The men that had to follow those orders deserved better too.
