Transcript:
Alice: My daddy drove me to school today in his little car. Kevin: Does he still sing and babble while he drives? Dad: Look, Alice! A doggie! Woof, says the doggie! Woof woof woof woof! Alice: Daddy! I'm four! I'm fully aware the doggie says woof woof woof. ... Worse than ever. Kevin: I'm sorry.

Kevin may be a bucket head, but he understands.

Alice just can’t take Daddy anywhere…

I guess Mr. Otterloop just doesn’t realize that his darling daughter is now a mature four-year old! He’s still treating her as though she were three and a half! Kevin the Buckethead commiserates correctly.P.S. I love the tiny car, as always.

On yesterday’s comic, Richard Thompson left a comment with a link to his blog: http://richardspooralmanac.blogspot.com/2012/01/todays-cul-de-sac-january-15-2012.htmlThe short of it is that the recent reruns are because he’s having to take a lot of time off for health reasons.

You tell him, Alice. Daddy-O needs to watch the road anyway. His vehicle makes a Yugo look like a Hummer…

This is starting another rerun week after last week there was fresh new episodes following a post Christmas rerun week. Why is that?
Darryl Heine almost 13 years ago
The reason for rerun weeks, is it because Richard Thompson has to take therapy for Parkinson’s disease?
reese828 almost 13 years ago
There is a story in the Washington Post that Richard Thompson is taking 3 or 4 weeks off for treatment for Parkinson’s Disease. I wish him well and hope the treatment is successful.

Sure hope the therapy helps. I enjoy your strips, reruns or not. They are some of the funniest I’ve ever seen!

Maybe the little cow is a salute to Gary Larson’s classic Far Side where the cows are all standing around shootin’ the bull (pun intended), one yells, “Car!” they all go down on all 4’s grazing until the car passes then back to said BS-ing.
