I know I’m going to be a wet blanket. But the dog would be a great walking companion and she would be just as happy in the great outdoors. Wouldn’t hurt the plugger either.

Oh, yeah, a plugger loves his doggie more than the missus, often times. Dog never asks him to repair the roof or clean out the garage. Pure adoration in the dog’s eyes. Can’t beat that!

And that’s one of the reasons pets get fat.

When my dog sits up and begs so sweetly like this, I can’t really resist her either . . . but I don’t give her pet store treats that are laden with fat and calories. I give her a plain, unsweetened Cheeri-O instead and she seems to like those just fine! She doesn’t get one every time she begs, of course, or she’d be begging for them all the time. But I figure one every now and then won’t hurt her. She gets plenty of exercise so we’re not worried she’ll become obese on her favorite “treat”.

I never thought of giving my dog Cheerios as a treat. She’s tiny and one would be plenty. Thanks for the tip, GretchensMom!
