Sad but true. Solar, wind, geothermal will all be around a lot longer than oil, are less corrosive to live as we know it, but don’t make enough money to keep the Repubs happy.
No person reading this comic strip will be around to see the end of oil and other fossil fuels. Solar has it’s place, but it’s still way too expensive for general use.
It makes sense to research more efficient solar technology, but it makes no sense to try to put any technology into production when it is not economically viable. When the technology is ready, entrepreneurs will invest and produce it. Government subsidies are going to enrich the politically connected.
