There used to be a comics blog titled, “What’s So Funny? Not Golf.” It’s mostly in older comics, whose cartoonists and/or main audience are too old for most other sports.

You are correct about golf being ‘boring’. On TV the guy is whispering into a microphone as we watch some dude crawl around on his hands and knees worshiping a white spot on a field of green. However I did find this one to be rather funny. I had to read it about 3 times to find the point of the drawing. Princemikey, were you unable to find the ‘point’ to this drawing?

So Harry and Bob are on the 18th hole. Harry is about to make his putt when he sees a funeral procession off in the distance. He stops, takes off his hat, and bows his head until the last car passes. Bob says, “Gee, Harry. I didn’t know you were that kind of guy. That was very respectful.” “Aw, it was the least I could do,” says Harry. “I was married to her for 40 years.”

See…golf can be funny.
