Honey, while you’re up, will you—-TBA? (Remember the “Get me a Grant’s” ads? Burl is a Troglodyte, or worse. And be sure to notice the sh*t-eating grin on Jerry’s face. He’s the worse. I can flat-a$$ guarantee you that down at the dry goods store, with the exception of his mama, there ain’t no highly paid female employees! Gotta quit or I’ll really get myself banned.

    Good morning Crustwoodians…

Wow…. nothing gets by that guy, does it?

I love that he and Jer both have piggish mugs….(In more ways than one.)

I agree with Mikie that of the two, Jerry probably has the worse attitude about women…

only in that he’s even less aware of it.

Burl is more stupid but thinks he’s sly. Jerry is absolutely clueless.

Today Joy is whining, in her fashion, by posting for all to see that she has to make both sides of the bed. Imagine!

    Anyhow….. I’m baa..ack!Didja miss me?Okaaaayy hen…. didja maybe (sniffle) notice I was gone?

    Oh don’t lie to me….

    ’Cept Dave…. you noticed. Thanks.

Marg — as far as I know, you do.

    For whatever that’s worth.

Like their rack for stolen car keys.Couples back on ’50s TV had separate beds. That way you knew they had a maid if both beds were made.

Behind every great man there’s a woman urging him on. So it was with my Stella. She urged me on into space – not that she meant to….

    Good Morning, all.

Good Sunday morning, all. I could not read Burl’s mug, tho’ Jerry’s is very appropriate for Leaky too. The Desplaines was WAY too dirty to swim in even back then. A shoe came off as we hiked along there.

And Leaky, I made a good salary as a designer; some men may have done better, but maybe not. I’ve never been a female activist. I found a site last week dedicated to repair of the windchimes I love – mine is the J.W. Stannard Lark (one of the smaller ones but a beautiful sound) I will get it restrung with the eyelets for protection.

Sorry I’m late on this Susan Sunshine. But I wanted to let you know that Knotts Berry Farm really used to be a berry farm. I grew up in So. CA and we used to go to their roadside stand and buy boysenberries. Later they had a little petting zoo. It was very sweet. Awful place today. But you can still buy the jam!

@Leaky, is that what you think of all chimes? In churches and orchestras? Mine are tuned in a lovely chord; I’m not talking about the things with random junk. The day I bought that one, I listened to about a dozen before I chose.

@mikie, My X would not wait until I was up; he told me to go get him a glass of water (or anything else) when we were sitting in the same room, even when I was many months preggers (and that was often). We had 4 before I terminated that.

Someone once gave me a wonderful bell — not really a “bell”, I guess… sort of an Asian chime.

It’s a thick piece of sheet metal, with an antique rusty patina, kind of folded into a cone shape, with a hollow copper tube hanging inside like a bell clapper…

if a person or the wind makes it strike, it reverberates, in the most amazing and beautiful tone, that goes through me like ripples in a puddle….

Which is why it’s wrapped in cloth, in a bag, someplace in my shed where it won’t drive anybody crazy!

I gotta leave town now…. hope I have internet access tonight.

It always depends on where I get to sleep, and whether her computer is down (again.)

@Leaky, (and Susan)My lovely chimes are not loud and only ring softly when winds are bringing rain (always welcome here). I have 2 adjoining neighbors to east and west of me who might hear them when they are outdoors in our back patios. They never even seemed to notice when I used to forget and leave the outdoor speakers of my TV on (which I have to hear it when I’m in the pool), so they can’t possibly be annoyed by a gentle chime. Perhaps your neighbors who have them are located closer to you.

After yesterday’s stuff, I wrote a first draft of my will today as I will be 75 this year and I sent it on to the son who will be my executor as I’m using his as a base for my own; two of my sons know much more than I of legal matters.
