The recycled bottles serve as good insulation, and are both inexpensive and bullet resistant! The Democratic Republic of Congo's Mount Nyiragongo has one of the world's largest permanent lava lakes, with a huge 1800F pool of molten rock!

I’ve read of houses built from empty cargo containers. Seems like that could be good in poorer nations.
