How about with the technology available in this High-Def world someone Gocomics? hint hint) fix this strip up so we can read it. I think I could get a better read of a 1932 strip found in the trash.
don’t see how they can fix it, short of retyping the word balloons. that would make the word balloons hi-def and the drawings blurry, but at least you tell what the heck is being said. Maybe the original strips are available somewhere and can be reshot or something.I don’t know the answer, obviously, but this unintelligible garble is unacceptable .I appreciate Davidf42’s translation. It is apparent that he spends some time deciphering it and even he can’t make out all of the hieroglyphics
Yes, it’s sad, but again it just goes to show that the ends never justify the means. No matter how good the means are. I believe that is how President Nixon thought.
thanks also to david — i agree that that there has to be a way to make these strips legible. without the translations i would not even bother “reading” the sunday strip.
This strip moves really fast! Most would have spent a week on telling authorities, discussing what to do, getting permission from supervisors, etc.@Dberrymanal1, don’t you mean, however good the ends are?I feel sorry for both Deputy Dogget and his daughter. Maybe she will qualify for Medicaid now, if they don’t say the operation is experimental.
