I asked GoComics why Annie has no zoom. Thier response follows – "Only high-resolution comics are “zoomable.” I’m sorry for any inconvenience. We are adding more and more hi-res comics to the site as we can.
In answer to the constant questions about the readability of the Annie strips: it SHOULD be obvious to everyone that when these strips were originally scanned from the hard copies, they did not use a high enough resolution scan. Yes, what they’ve got can be enlarged, but all you will see is a bunch of enlarged blobs. Live with it!
Marvee – Apparently Warbucks liked the unions in the strip pre-FDR. After the New Deal, not so much. (At least this is what I glean from the intro to Vol 1 of IDW’s Complete Orphan Annie series.)
