I thought Dave had gone crude today because the first thing I thought of was the Get Fuzzy strip where Satchel the dog has a friend that talks about a dog food that you add hot water to to make gravy. Satchel replies, “Oh, THAT dog food! You don’t eat it; you rent it!”.
Dave really means it’s like just taking the chocolate to your valentine so they could see & smell it only and then taking it back. Cruel & unusual.
