I like the mice, but I’m intrigued by the idea of giving them their own strip. That way, they could do their thing in one comic, and the ship could go on with its usual “pirate-y” antics. Definitely food for thought.

I agree w/ lightenup … give the mice their own strip … there can be a ‘remorseful’ parting between the meese and the pirates, and the mice can be seen leaving the ship… and in the distance of the last pane, you see their new strip.

Chip, I think you already know how I’d vote on the subject. But you can get rid of Scratch anytime and he won’t be missed – at least not by me.
