Broomie resembles that remark, but does Oscar really? I remember him being green and grouchy - but dumpy?

    Mr. Doty

Nerwin just exposed the truth about Santa Claus? Let’s consider that the appearance of Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Sinterklass, Kris Kringle, Pere Noel and his many other names from around the world each has his unique regional variations. Perhaps, someone as magical as Santa Claus could become green, dumpy and grumpy when he visits a young troll in an enchanted forest? After all, doesn’t Santa Claus magically access houses through the chimney? After a small chimney, I’d think green and dumpy would be easy…

@Joe-Allen “Joe” Doty if idiot adults stopped promoting Santa Claus and the whole Giving Gifts At Christmas thing, half the retailers in the nation would be bankrupt by February.

    In a nutshell – ain’t gonna happen.

Not to mention the toy manufacturers & gadget makers. I doubt he ever saw Miracle on 34th Street.

I beg to differ on the existence of trolls. They do exist in real life and they lurk on internet message boards. Trolls post controversial, inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community with the intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Some may consider me to be a troll, but then again, there are those that I consider to be trolls.

And thus we must ask the question: Is there anything that won’t set off the boring, long-winded ranters around here?

Joe I don’t think China, would do something like that. They’d be shooting themselves in the foot. But if they were so stupid, then companies like Walmart would find another source of cheap labor and/or materials.

As for Miracle On 34th Street, it did not address ideology or the way it was or shortly thereafter the time of Christ’s birth, but a frame of mind in our current environment, a spirit of giving that affects more than just the toy markets, but the likes of greating card companies and charities that get most of their donations during the Christmas season and any organisations that service and/or supply those industries and hopefully those less fortunate than us. To me, that’s what it’s all about.
