Or maybe the cat food has too much corn (and mealamine). :) After my poor cats were poisoned on commercial food, I started cooking for them. You would not believe how fast they lost all that belly fat! My vet says they look great!
Well, why would anyone want to jump onto the roof anyway? And Luddie can just walk around to the front of that ol’couch and claw his way up to the top.
Our old man cat, loves to drink water out of the kitchen sink. He can’t jump as well as he use to. I’ve hung a old towel over the doors, so he can get a good grip with his hind claws.
From experience, cat’s who are left alone for long periods of time, in the first year or two, eat too much because they have nothing much else to do….. Two cats would be OK, because then they wouldn’t get bored. Cat’s are solitary animals compared to dogs, but their dirty little secret is they like to have another being to mess with. That’s where we come in…They actually like having us around. They find us entertaining….stupid and uncomprehending for sure, but entertaining…Besides, who else is gonna scratch the top of their head? For those who don’t have a pet, but are thinking about getting one, I highly recommend a cat. You don’t have to train them like a dog. They are experts at training you. Your future relationship with your new cat? Love, devotion, surrender…
Being fixed doesn’t make cats fat – our two boys got clipped at 4 months; and they are lean, active cats, even though they are indoors only. Staying active with each other and the human servants doubtless accounts for their fitness.

The world record for standing high jump is 1.9 meters. That doesn’t get you up on your roof. But fantasies are what make life tolerable, after all!

It’s easy to joke about it, but when a cat loses a step like that it’s also a sign that they’re getting old.

Maybe the owners feed him too much.

Scratch a chunk out of his nose Luddy, you don’t have to put up with that. (Big enough target!)

Obviously, wisdom does not come with age,
and in this case add grace.

Forgot to say that eating too much because you’re bored is a hard habit to break….thus, large kitty…

Cats have the agility to climb up walls no matter how much they weigh.
