I once saw a cat that only ate Broccoli. The cat smelled pleasantly fragrant. one of the strangest things I’ve seen. he would hold it by putting his paws on either side of the stalk and lean it up and nibble on head

For some strange reason this brings to mind watching a horse eat the flowers of a thistle plant. How does a horse eat the flowers off a thistle plant you may ask? Verrry carrrefully.

For the record, my cats ate bagged kibbles, mice and whatever insects they could catch.

I know some cats that are vegan. They aren’t geniuses though. Not even close.

One of our cats loved bananas. She’d jump up on the counter, slit them open, and have at them. Once I put a loaf of banana bread on the counter, and she jumped up, slit the Saran Wrap down the middle, and pigged out.

Oh, yes, and we had a Korat. Korats are a short-haired breed, slate-gray, originating in Thailand. If I spilled cooked rice on the floor, she would carefully eat it, grain by grain.

My understanding was that cats, unlike many other carnivores, are unable to get all of the essential amino acids without meat protein — and that forcing a strict vegetarian diet on a cat would cause it to go blind. Comments?

i had a beagle that would eat corn on the cob. Ate it like a human, one end to the other then roll. After a while she wanted butter on it as well. True story.

To add to the cat lore…I had a cat, Mimiyow, who was 1/2 Siamese and loved corn on the cob…raw. She also loved peas. Lived for 24 years and had a lot to say. She always got the last word. I miss her.

Gave a friend’s cat a melon ball. She played with it for over an hour. Had a dog. Babysat both dogs and cats. Like both.

If I have to pick one, I’d rather be of average intelligence and enjoy pig in all its glorious food forms than be a vegetarian genius.

My cat loves Parmesan. fround out when one day I was making pasta and she not only got friendly, she started licking the had I’d used to crumble it and wouldn’t stop. We used it once to keep her going. When we moved she had a fit and stopped eating anything, since she’s a small kitty to begin with it got dangerous fast, but I sprinkled some one her food and suddenly the world was right again.
