the notebook…wasn’t that the movie where the time traveler’s wife chose young hercules over cyclops?

I was a new youth ministry director. Tradition for the kids was that they threw the annual Super Bowl party for area churches. That was the year of the famous "wardrobe malfunction.’ There were about 120 kids there.

You could watch the Puppy Bowl and then nap.

I so want to be invited to that party. The device has not yet been conceived which can measure my indifference to football… and The Notebook – well!

My wife teaches a gender studies class on “alternative chick flicks”, like Kill Bill, Resident Evil, and Alien et al.

So, where is Joseph these days? You never see him and nobody ever asks about or interviews the poor sap. The only time you ever hear about him is when they drag out the nativity sets every december. He’s sort of like Danica Patrick’s husband.

As I see it, The Notebook is two movies, one pretty original and well-done, the other dopey and hackneyed beyond all reason.
