In case you missed my response to your question yesterday, I’ll repeat it here. Jay Maeder and Ted Slampyak are retelling a story that had been written and drawn by Harold Gray back in 1937. And Ted is doing a very good job of imitating Gray’s artwork. Notice how they give credit to Gray in the bottom left-hand corner of panel 3. The original story, as done by Harold Gray, can be read online at the following link:
