Same gag redrawn from 9/6/11. I can understand revisiting the same joke or topic to add a different spin to it or present it from a different perspective. That’s good cartooning. But this is the exact same gag just redrawn.
I think it does matter. It’s a good gag. Maybe explore it a little more to view it from a different perspective or add a twist. That’s good writing. Reusing the same gag unchanged is laziness.

I notice this is almost an exact duplicate of the strip from September 6, 2011. There is a very slight difference in the artwork.
