I read these on my iPhone, so I had to scan the qr code in the mirror. It opens up up an alternate dimension on my phone. Anyone know what “ia! ia! Dagwood! Ftaghn!” means?
I read that they’ve found a way to make QR codes an attack vector, so I don’t scan them. I believe the basic concept was that they point to a site that has been compromised that automatically launches malware against your phone, similar to cross-site scripting attacks against browsers.
I finally caved and d/l a free QR reader. It’s called Qrafter, and will let you choose between scanning and immediately launching (going to a URL, etc.) or scanning and seeing the result (the actual URL, etc.) and letting you decide whether to actually go there or not. Which should help with any attacks.
The Pro (paid) version lets you create your own codes.
