Stop giving quizzes and grade only on two tests, midterm and final, and classroom participation. Oh and extra credit for personal services. Welcome to academia.
Haha! I’ve put all my quizzes online (and most of the course) so they automatically grade themselves. Now, I just have grade lab reports and a million extra credit projects…
When I was teaching, after the quiz the kids would swap papers and grade them immediately. They would get the correct information before any of their wrong answers stuck in their brains.
These days parents object to having the kids swap papers. They don’t want anyone else seeing their kid’s work. So my sons had to bring grading pens to school to grade their own work.

Okay, Claire, see if you can help—maybe if all this goes really well, they’ll find some funds to pay Paul extra.
