Sylvia, sorry to see you go. I hope you’ll let GoComics put you into reruns.

Thanks for posting that, runar. Nicole, best wishes for your new endeavor. I’m thankful we had Sylvia for “inspiration” all those years.

Nicole, Sylvia became “one of the women in my life” a long time ago. I’ll be grieving, but not for Dick Cheney’s old heart. Thank you so much for everything.

Nicole you’re leaving? Wow, I didn’t know. Sylvia used to be in my newspaper years ago and I was very happy to find you again here. I hope they will still do reruns. Well good luck in your future.

Nicole, say it isn’t so! I will have to take to the bed with a cool cloth – and my cat! You have started my day for so long, and I will miss your wit terribly. Why don’t you have Mary Frances talk to the Chicago newspaper?

just visted Amazon to get a raft of Sylvia collections. Your comments on current events will be sorely missed.

Being selfish for a minute, all I can think is “say it isn’t so!!” But there is a right time to bow out gracefully. This strip is so clearly a labor of love, and a creative space to express emotions, ideas, and what seem to be thoughts close to the grain and the heart. That can only come from a genuine place, and would not be the same if it were forced… I will miss the strip sorely as a part of the reflective time in my day. So, I (virtually) stand and wave my hanky in adoration as Ms. Hollander takes her bows.
