Pig: Hey, Steph. Whatcha doing? Pastis: Richard Thompson asked if I'd do him a favor and draw his Sunday strip for him this week. Pig: Is he the "Cul de Sac" guy? Pastis: Yeah. He's pretty darn good, too. Look at his stuff. Pig: Ooooh. Rat: And you think you can imitate him? Pastis: Oh, yeah. It's sort of a sketchy style, but part of being a professional cartoonist is being able to work in any style. Rat: Let's see what you've got. Pig: I don't think he'll ask you for any more favors, Steph. Rat: Lemme guess... you drew it with your nose.

Yâknow whatâs kinda sad? Pastis has had Alice appear in his own strip before, and I feel like he coulda done something really cool with this. Instead, he chose to just draw a PBS strip. Very disappointed.
