Ah, yes. The United States….the country that gave the world tubular, pink coloured abbatoir sweepings stuffed between two bits of foam rubber served with mediocre warm coffee and unsweetened chocolate.

They also like to criticise the rest of the world and not look at their own faults.

Racist rant over. I give as good as I get.

Perishers were the best, especially Boot and the Crabs.

For all the lovers of British cuisine, a round of spotted dick. My treat.

If Andy knew that Pinot Grigio was wine, I’m sure he would change his mind.

Stagger Lee, If I recall isn’t Bubble and Squeak a hard boiled egg wrapped inside sausage? Don’t know how authentically British it was, had it at a Renaissance Faire here in the states, but it was GOOD!

Tog I’m guessing that your abbreviation for ‘pudding’ is pronounced ‘pood’, like ‘hood’. ‘Pud’ is pronounced ‘puhd’ in the US.

Oh Andy, I don’t think wine bars are your cup of tea (or pint of Guiness) The last time you and Flo went to a wine bar you got chucked out!

    LOL. So funny today.

I would be vegetarian if I knew how to do it properly.

I knew a lady (86) who’d never eaten meat in her life; she’d never had a day’s major illness in her life either.

My favorite Andy Capp cartoon (and I’d give a lot to see it once more) is the one in which Flo and the vicar are watching a soccer game. The opposing star forward is bringing the ball downfield and Andy defends by punching the man in the face. The referee runs over and the vicar snorts, “Anyone could stop a man that way!” Flo’s response is priceless: “Aye, they COULD, vicar. But WOULD they?”
