    Actually, they’re not supposed to pocket it just as long as they’re holding office. But when they leave, for whatever reason, the balance in their campaign fund becomes theirs…according to the law.

    Members of the House and Senate make far more from insider trading than they do from all other sources combined. All one has to do is look at their net worth before taking office and compare it with what they are worth just a few years later. Makes no difference whether Republican, Democrat or Independent. Blind trusts may be investing their funds, but all that means is they do not know where the funds are actually invested. They can however pass on information to the trust but the trust can’t communicate anything back other than how well the trust is doing.
