Satchel: Doesn't seem optimal somehow. Bob: Ok, now... Looking at the chart, i see that your moon is waxing and uranus is in opposition. Satchel: He's probably seeing my chart. I ate a wheel of cheese yesterday and I'm having problems. Bob: No, it's Bucky's, the stars never lie! Wait, that's gum. Let's start over.

Oh, and BTW—the moon “waxes” when it appears to grow bigger until the full moon, then it “wanes” as it appears to grow smaller. And that is the result of a classical education! LOL

Impress your friends! When the moon’s lit side is curved like the letter ‘D’, it is waxing: it is going towards full, like the letter ‘O’. When it is curved like the letter ‘C’, it is waning, going to dark/new moon. D-O-C.
In the northern hemisphere, that is. Reverse it in the southern.

I could swear that earlier this week for “Get Fuzzy”, I made some wisecrack about being thankful for them not mentioning Uranus. However, it appears I did not. I must be slipping.
