Even fast and good doesn’t work. If you want it good, it’ll be worth the wait. And yes I want it good – no, I want it great.
The heaviest thing had to be some of them carpet rolls back when I was working in shipping many years ago. I was glad when we sold the carpets division.
My parents were always building things when I was growing up, so I have picked up a large number of fairly heavy objects. But the heaviest would be a complete engine, probably 350 pounds. As for the fast, cheap, good argument. I watched my parents try to do things fast and cheap for decades. If there is one thing I learned from them its that, if its cheap its almost never good, and if its fast its generally not cheap or good. So these days I wait for good work that is never cheap but sure does last a good long time.
I used to work in a steel and hardware store and would have to load customers vehicles with RHS, steel fencing, roofing, cement etc… A whole pack of 40 fence posts (assisted lift) was probably the heaviest.

Yesterday’s “Daddy’s Home” question: What is the heaviest thing you have ever picked up?Today’s “Daddy’s Home” question: Which two would you choose?

Heaviest thing I ever picked up? Gee, I don’t know. A big part of a cherry tree that broke off in the wind, maybe?
Fast and cheap? Must be made in China.

Fast and cheap often ends up costing four times as much, both in money and time. One time to do it now, plus three times to do it right later..
Heaviest thing I’ve ever lifted? Either a 55 gallon barrel of dichlorodilflouroethane, or the rear end of a Triumph Spitfire sport car..
Either is a dead lift of over 600 lbs.

And to think that “fast, cheap and good” was a NASA motto not so long ago. We’re lucky we only lost two space shuttles because of it.
