And yes, to All…Happy Easter, Pesach Shalom… whatever works.I guess that means to you, acesover,I have to say …. belch.:)And Leaky — Hope you’re feeling better.
Not that it’s so priceless but after I typed all this I may as well say it!……………………..Now I know why Joy’s been pricing condos. She wants Patty to move to Crustwood. Not that Burl and Joy would pay for it, but they want to point out a good deal.Love the “Tips” for the cook….. it’s supposed to hold money, but instead the tips include “Wash your hands” and what I presume is something like “Use clean spoons.”Another time-warp here..when Julie posted a couple of months (?) ago, she said she was keeping the Pennys stuck in the 90’s, cos it was their natural era.Today, Joy will use the candy hearts from 2001.I’m sure they’re meant to be 11 years old… but they’re in the future!
Back when my children were teens, one year I decided to celebrate Passover (one of my very Kosher friends helped me with some of the details) . I think it’s good for children to learn customs of others and there was even a radio program with a cantor singing the ceremony. I wonder if any of them still remember, but then it was not the only time I did something “different” for a holiday.
now we got candy, eggs, and cheesy toys. the best of valentines and xmas combined! who said they were religious holidays??? walmart? walgreens? mattel?
@Susan, I have had a comment just not appear once in a while as well (just disappeared) but I either repost after a bit or not (very often can’t remember all of what I had said). It is true that the significance of Holidays is fading away with commercial values. I love the real meanings; one of the untraditional celebrations was a Thanksgiving when last minute shopping found a woman behind me with no family and I brought her home to eat with me and the kids (and BF). She enjoyed it but also thought I might find her a BF – NOT!!

I just tried to post about the strip…. but my comment vanished into thin air..
When I refreshed the page it timed out, and now it’s back…. but still without my comment.
I just know if I post it again. it’ll show up twice…. so I saved it and I’ll check later.

Dale will now have to have the hunt at a secret time so Burl doesn’t go for the money eggs.
