@hausof7mau & @WhitecamryI suspect it’s a “happy accident.” But lots of artists use photos——sometimes of movie stars——as references.
I sorta doubt Vince Colletta (or one of his collaborators) took the time to consult a specific photo. Colletta was all about turning out the art quickly. Page rates were extremely low at Charlton.
But it’s not impossible that Elizabeth Taylor created an impression which influenced (either consciously or unconsciously) the drawing here.

Here’s the link to the original art with some (very!) outrageous 1960s dialog: http://bit.ly/FPp3gf

I just read the original, outrageous indeed! Sorry, but I prefer it. Explains the dudes expression, I’ve had that experience at the end of a date.

@Buzza WuzzaShe is probably now older than your grandmother!Assuming that comic characters age (and can be dated).

@stardakev Comic characters almost never age—-unless they’re in Gasoline Alley. Hmm. I think it’s time for me to be a comic character.

Yes, the original 60’s version seems more Last Kiss-y.

Ottodesu & @Andreahome No need to apologize. I like the original quite a bit myself. As long as you like at least one of the two images, I’m happy!
