I’ve got wires sewn in to keep my sternum together after bypass surgery. They even gave me a card ‘splainin’ to whomever why the metal detector wand was going off.My wife, on the other hand, has metal clamps attached to whatever her gall bladder connected to, but no explanatory card for the TSA goons. (Like they need a reason to grope.)

I had an old hen that would lay a penney one day, a nickel the next day, and a quarter the next. I became concerned until the Vet told me she was just going through the change.

I have an arm full of junk from a bunch of attempts to fix a broken humerus.

Anyone hear about Dick Cheney’s surgery? On anyone else it would have been a called a heart transplant, but this is the first time he’s ever hand one.

The whole $2 bill superstition got started back when the Populists were always quoting Jefferson and the bankers didn’t want the public to be reminded (nickels get by because they are identified by size, but US bills are all the same color). Half dollars went the same way because Kennedy was the penultimate populist president (and Johnson isn’t on anything but a space center.

I don’t understand. What’s wrong with HMOs? If you are lucky enough to live in an area served by Kaiser you will receive top nothch medical care at a reasonable price. I’m sure there are many other worthy HMOs as well.

You know those things they put in stuff at the store that make the door alarm go off if some one tries to steal something. I once got a live one because the store did not kill it at the check out. When the buzzer went off the just waved me on. I put it in a shoe of a man that I do not like at all. He should not leave his shoes just laying around. He got stopped and searched more than a few times at the store. The joke lasted for the better part of a year and he never found out what the deal was.
