I do read Pearls before Swine.It is hilarious. But animals can say anything and not come across as crass or mean spirited. I should have made Agnes a ferret or Koala bear :-)
Obviously she meant Republicans. Only Democrats would poop the bones into the grieving mothers backyard. Republicans would use the front yard. Independents would place it in a bag by the front door and set it on fire. Libertarians would use the driveway. All of the other minor parties would do a “drive-by” on the front sidewalk

If, OTOH, Agnes herself starred in an animal strip…. hmmm… I can easily picture her as a young owlet, blinking in the twilight, lost in deep thoughts that no one else can fathom……. and all the while, dreaming that one day she’ll wake up a lithe little hummingbird.
I hope lots of people are reading “Agnes”! Does this strip ever get any kind of critical attention? Any kind of awards, or accolades? Because I think it’s just wonderful. Smart and weird, thoughtful in its twisted perspective, and certainly distinctive. I know “Agnes” has been around for years, or certainly seems to have been, but I’ve really only come to appreciate Mr. Cochran’s talent in the last 2 or 3 years.

Agnes is plenty lithe and supple already. We really don’t need her to be a croc—especially Pastis’ kind.

Crocodile = Water Lizard a lithe, lean, mean, quick and nasty killing machine..Agnes = young owlet. (SusanSunshine is right, that is Agnes)
