To be fair, Hendrix died by asphyxiation, probably due to alcohol and prescription sleeping pills (belonging to a girlfriend). The surgeon who attended to Jimi was reprimanded with 2 counts of medical malpractice for not performing a tracheotomy on Hendrix, which may have saved his life.As for Kurt Cobain, I doubt any drug makes you take a shotgun to your head, mental health issues however…
There HAS been a shift to more deaths from “legal” prescription drugs, not that the manufacturers are pushing their use at all. Isn’t it also interesting that the listing of potentially lethal side effects tends to occupy more time in the commercials than the benefits, in fact, you often have to be quick to even hear what that new and wonderful drug is supposed to cure!
when the drugs you choose kill you it’s called abuse and/or illegal possesion; when the drugs the doctors give you kill you it’s called “practicing” medicine

^I also LOVE the “asthma medicine” whose primary “serious side effect” is causing an asthma reaction that will KILL YOU!!
