Mona did try to kill Lucas by smothering him once. She got lucky when he apparently chose not to press charges afterward. At the time she was totally unrepentant, stating that she was a natural fem fatale and “Get well soon” embroidered on the teddy bear she used was her idea of a cruelly ironic joke. Later on she did apologize to Lucas and he did accept it. Now it seems that someone didn’t accept that apology or forgive Mona. Her harshest and most persistent critic, Mona herself.
