Just like a ball, Fink ol’ man, not round like a coin. So it’s not worthy of your interest.

The Fink first needs “a round tuit” to get it done.

I hate it when the strip reflects some political overtones…the Liberals come out of the woodwork.

I moved to Northern California. Redwoods and some streams when I got out of the service…beautiful Berkley girl.Maybe the only way the ‘earthies’ could convince me, a just-discharged Green Beret, was to give me one of their daughters awhile. Now in New Mexico I don’t get out into open country much, but it’s all around me.What ‘nature’ or, ‘unoccupied earth’ gives me is quiet and peace. Maybe I’m just paranoid, or maybe all that unoccupied, un-asphalted land makes the air smell better. I get, in open country, what a rich guy can approximate in the city, plus more energetic simulations and distractions…it balances out, probably…I have more time. Living in the country isn’t the same as camping light in a wilderness, but it’s a good balance between extremes. And a LOT cheaper and less stressful.

Sorry…that ramble was an olive branch to my hard-driving other-party types who never get their feet out of leather and never get off the asphalt or concrete, and can’t turn any angle but around a corner…guys, lab rats have mazes too…is your nose pink? maybe you’re just in an experiment…

I wish you would let us in the ‘third world’ solve our own problems – and not expect us to atone for the West’s environmental sins.We are the markets and run the factories. We are poor, dirty and mostly non-Christian – so?

Only because we work the hardest and produce more than anyone else up to now – after this point in time it is going to be the far east that is the prime offender.

Whether we are in the first, second or third world, and whether we are believers, agnostics or atheists, the most important matter we should be trying to do something about is overpopulation. That really is the root cause of most all of our environmental problems. This is only my opinion. If anyone disagrees with this theory, I hope civility will prevail.

I was expecting the Fink to try & find a way to Tax water, because 70% water or to raise the tax on land because only 30% is land.

Yes, about 70 percent of the earth’s surface is water. And a LOT of that water gets into the atmosphere as water vapor due to evaporation from the oceans and waters of the earth. And water vapor is a LOT more powerful greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide is. So if you could somehow remove ALL of the carbon dioxide from the earth’s atmosphere, it wouldn’t make a significant difference in the greenhouse effect. EXCEPT that now, all the green plants would die because THE ONLY SOURCE of carbon from which they can make plant fiber IS THE CARBON DIOXIDE that they extract from the earth’s atmosphere and convert via the process of photosynthesis to carbohydrates and free oxygen! They use the carbohydrates to grow and reject the free oxygen back to the atmosphere.

AND on the other hand, since the greenhouse effect due to water vapor in the atmosphere completely swamps the greenhouse effect due to carbon dioxide, if you QUADRUPLED the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it ALSO wouldn’t have any significant effect on the overall greenhouse effect. EXCEPT that now you’d have LUSH green forests and other green plant growth because NOW they’d have a good source of carbon from which to grow plant fiber.

So all this BS about carbon dioxide producing global warming is a bunch of rot! YES, there is global climate change — it’s been going on for THOUSANDS OF MILLIONS OF YEARS! SOMETIMES it’s global cooling and sometimes it’s global warming. But carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has very little to do with it at all! AND there has been significant amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere for LONGER than green plants have existed on earth — which is FAR, FAR LONGER than man has ever existed on earth!
