Honey Dorian, Olive Oyl and Fritzi Ritz.Such exciting 100% women! And they all had dopey male partners – Rip Kirby, Popeye and Phil Fumble.

@davidblackRip Kirby wasn’t a dope. He was just too busy catching third rate con artists and safe crackers. Popeye wasn’t a dope either. He beat guys three and four times his size into bloody pulps on a weekly basis. Phil Fumble was kind of a dope but I still laugh at his bad luck and nonsense.

Time stands still in the funny papers. Let’s just ignore that Aunt Fritzi was around in the roaring twenties…

I loved it when I was old enough to sit up and watch the Ball drop. Too bad we have nothing like in Texas. RIP Dick Clark – It w’ont be the same without you.

Wonderful tribute. Unfortunately, Guy has had to do these too frequently of late.

Amen Sister! Sadly we now enter the times of our lives where we say goodbye far too often.
