Today’s Wednesday….so…..they should make the control room on Friday. Maybe we start rolling into Flask’s backstory on Monday? I hope, I hope. Unless the AI takes the ditto…PZOW…and the others can’t keep up.

Hmm, the ditto is not just held by the AI. It seems to be melded with it in panel 4. Wonder if the AI gains the ditto’s knowledge, including sight (if that’s even an option)?

We now know what the dittos are, sort of Little creatures who seem to make sport of Mimic work done en masse But this Marx is an … idiot Who can’t see that this run was abortive It seems likely now he’s never seen The control room, and never did glean Any sort of a clue That the next thing to do Is to go there. He’s flakey, not mean But his flakiness comes with a price He pretends to be cooler than ice He’s so suave, debonaire But that door led to air Nearly killed them! And that’s far from nice So the dittos have heard what he said One “scout group” has succeeded and sped Back to make a report With a tail of a sort Does Marx not have a brain in his head? =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum Charter member of the Consortium to get Aaron a Tablet

Wow. Is the thingy of lines made of the same stuff as the star fellow? I hope it can still tell what he saw! Really long legs freak me out. I was at you tube just browsing and happened across one about mutants from chernoble. This boy had one extremely long leg. Somehow I didn’t freak at anything else in the clip, but that kid haunts my memory. You can’t un-see something like that. Burrr .

The winners of the Ursa Major Awards will be announced at Califur, June 1-3. I don’t know which date exactly the award announcements will be. http://www.califur.com/2012/

There are any number of ways now that Flask can be disabled. Any illusion at all can be put in front of her. Illusion of Wally with a gun. Illusion of the room in flames. Illusion of a fake control panel.I don’t think it will be that easy. The ships controls are responding to her last command. She doesn’t have to steer the thing. If she does nothing, if she has a breakdown, if she is killed, the controls will still follow that order. I don’t think Marx can countermand it, as I seriously doubt he has yet been recognised by the ship as its lawful captain. The heroes have to do more than take Flask down. They have to persuade her to issue a retraction. And they’ll be doing it against the clock.I think some strong emotion is coming our way.

And it’s quite possible, the way Mr Neathery writes his stories, that Flask will destroy the city. I can’t rely on him to guarantee a happy ending all round. The heroes will live, but will thousands die, or will they not? I really don’t know what’s going to happen, and I’m scared.

Aaron, thank-you very much for the birthday note you wrote and drew on the booklet that Alexis purchased. That is a treat. Those of you who have not ordered the special booklet should, it is fun. Once again, thank-you. James

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I appreciate it.Night-Gaunt: Sorry to hear that. Glad you’ve recovered from it, though. But, that’s the thing for me, very little of the scrapes, bruises or even the break really hurt all that much. The bruising across my chest muscles hurt, but I could cope with it with just taking aspirin. My foot has been feeling fine as long as I don’t put weight on the ball, to the point that I wake up in the morning and it takes several minutes to remember why I have the cast on. I’d consider pain to be a reassuring sign that the bone is mending.crookedwolf: Good point. I have a history of pushing myself too far too fast. I have to remind myself even now that I’m not going to be able to put in 100 mile bike rides any more this year.
