Now that’s parenting gone wrong. It’s one thing to apologize to your kids when you’ve been unfair — they will learn to be fair and to apologize. But putting the kid in charge is crazy. Scary for the kid, too.
Parents who want to be best friends are just jealous that their kids are so much younger than they are, so they try to imitate them. It’s sad but common.
