I know it’s trivial, but where’s the axle under the boxcar that connects the two wheels?
I like how Jim depicts movement. A little while ago, before the kittens arc, there were some dailies with Rufus walking through some city-scapes that I found to be oddly elegant.
I like the build-up…I thought for a while his brother had broken into a zoo.
If anyone cares. The slogan on the side of that boxcar, “The route of courteous service,” was used by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad.
What that elephant pink Rufus?
I seem to recall that Jim Scancarelli is a railfan/model railroader in the real world.
lol that is so cute it looks like snuffy smith went to gasoline alley for a visit….and the circus!
More sad news reminds me of GA in one way. A much beloved actor George Lindsey, known as Goober Pyle, dies.

LOVE the artwork, Jim. Thanks for the memories of some of Norman Rockwell’s.
Nice environmental art in several panels. Sense of place.
