What an awesome gift too: it’s Eva (though he’s a little tied up at the moment)!

Well she brought this on herself…love the “unique” way Lio’s buddies spell Happy Birthday.

Hilarious!!! Eva never knew what hit her, so to speak….love the look on Ishy’s face..and the spirit of comraderie among Lio’s friends .

Eva looks like, “When I get loose, you are sooooo dead meat!”

Only Eva Rose can give herself as a present. Disappointed with this one.

@hlagallah: agreeed, too. this is really getting annoying. As long as I’ve been reading Lio, and that’s about 5 or 6 years, Eva has done nothing but defend herself from a freakin’ stalker. I don’t find that funny at all. yeah, it’s just a comic, and they’re supposed to be kids and all that, but still…it’s the second time this year she gets abducted, and no, she’s done nothing to “bring that on herself”. It’s just – not funny.

Anyone else notice the bandage on ishy’s leg? I bet there was quite a fight we missed.

So exactly how old IS Lio?

I don’t think Eva will do much of anything in retribution while Lio’s friends are around. But, good golly Miss Molly, when they are gone. LOOK OUT!

Hilarious retribution scene! But all of Lio’s well-meaning buddies will be disappointed when Eva Rose gets loose and is even more angry at Lio’s harmless protestations. It will be years down the road before she decides to accept Lio….

Gross. We’ve gone from stalking to kidnapping.

And yeah, yeah, it’s “just a comic strip” but it reinforces the idea that such behavior is funny/sweet/normal, instead of being abusive and wrong.

Being “nice” to someone doesn’t mean that they have to like you, let alone love you. Relationships are not cookies you “win” for being a decent human being, and if Lio actually respects Eva as much as he respects his monster buddies, he should have stopped harassing her a long time ago.

Instead, they’re acting like she’s a prize he’s “owed” somehow, and angry at her for not agreeing, and now they’ve actually forced her to be a gift for him, complete with wrapping, against her wishes.

As I said, gross.

Small world, too, since my birthday happens to be tomorrow.
