Mom: Alice! Are you dragging every toy in the house into the living room? Alice: No. "Now for dessert," says Ms. Weekin, "Surprise! It's my birthday, so we're having that plastic cake with crayon marks all over it!" "Hey!" says Mr. Weekin, "It's my birthday too!" Mine too!" says Willy Weekin. "Let's have a big party and invite every toy in the house!"

Mom just doesn’t understand that if any toy is left out, it will be sad. I hope she steps on a lego.

That’s a technical “no.” Since some of the toys were already in the living room (the Weekins family, etc.), Alice is truthfully not dragging every toy in the house into the living room. Gotcha, Madeline!

No they came in on their own.

Objectively speaking, Alice’s answer is perjurative…..she’s in trouble based on Mom’s sense of house-justice that given day.

Maybe my eyes are just playing tricks, but I see a toy in panel 2 who looks an awful lot like Calvin.
