What happened to the idea that Mr. Dennis and Lucky were going to take over the strip? Why are we still seeing these two?

Mr. Dennis is a scam artist, and Slim is a perfect mark who doesn’t learn.

Note that, up to this point, Mr Dennis has only presented oral “evidence” of his good fortune. He may be a scam artist and, maybe, Clovia wil fall for it this time around.

Why do people who don’t like the main characters read this strip? Every time I read the comments someone’s complaining about the main characters.

And when Slim gets Lucky back it’s going to be “One Froggy Evening” all over again!

@ shygirl27 – The current “main characters” used to be secondary characters. Many of us long time readers would like to see a return of some of the old “main characters”. Slim and Clovia have worn out their welcome (for now anyway).
