Made it to 3 1/2 before I got too sick to give. got my tee’s,still wear them, It’s so easy to give,so get up and give today. The life you save may be your own.
In Iowa we got stickers to put on the car. I made it up to 15 gallons before I left. At the recognition banquets there were some folks that had donated over 60 gallons
Carter, which is HQed in Bedford, Texas, stopped giving T-shirts out for individual donations (though they may still do them for special drives.) Instead you earn points for your donations and can redeem them for T-shirts or other great rewards. And even though you’re right, Pluggers don’t brag, most who are blood/platelet donors will. That said … I’m in the middle of gallon 16 and am honored each time I have the chance to donate.
I used to give blood religously, started in high school and continued through my time in the Navy in the UK. I tried to give blood in 2000 and was denied because I had been stationed in England for more than 6 months, mad cow scare. Now because I deployed and recieved the anthrax no one will touch my blood so even if they revoke the mad cow restriction I am barred from ever donating my O-, sad really.

Haven’t gotten a donor t-shirt in years… they must be having budget cuts.

They’re my T-shirts and I am going to wear them. I literally shed blood to get them.

I have several shirts, but since I’m only 5’1" (and shirts are “one size fits all”) they’re way too big. I use them as pajama tops.
