Frazz by Jef Mallett for June 12, 2012
Transcript:
Caulfield: I told Mrs. Olsen how athletes taper at the end of a training cycle. And how the school year happens to end this Friday. She still won't let us coast. Frazz: There's a flaw in your thinking. Caulfield: That coasting is the same as tapering? Frazz: That Mrs. Olsen keeps listening when you mention exercise.

Or that Mrs. Olsen is never going to let you slide….She might be old and a little burnt, but she’s not going to let a precocious student like Caufield off easy…..

Then again, maybe not. Mrs. Olsen strikes me as too good a teacher for that. I think she knows that one of the most important lessons she can teach is that even people who love you don’t always give you what you want, when you want it, no matter how good your reasons for wanting it.

Old biddies like Mrs. Olsen made me hate what should have been the most fun years of my life. Thanks, witch!
